Welcome to Run Ricky Run

Welcome to Run Ricky Run, a fundraising initiative of the Ponting Foundation that is totally dedicated to raising funds to support children affected by cancer.

Run Ricky Run provides a direct link between your willingness to donate money to a fantastic cause and my ability to make runs for Australia.

You can help by clicking on the 'Donate' button on this page. You can make a fixed donation or an amount per run that I score during the One Day International series against West Indies that runs from 7 to19 February 2010.

My past ODI performances against West Indies are listed in the table below. Based on my average v West Indies, if I score a total of 160 runs in the five match series and you sponsor Run Ricky Run for 25 cents a run, your total donation would be $40.

Every donation to Run Ricky Run will be distributed by the Foundation to one of its beneficiary charities, so please give generously and help make a real difference in the fight against childhood cancer.

Thanks for your support,

Ricky Ponting

Ricky Ponting: Another impressive win by the boys last night. Perfect start to the series against the West Indies and we are going to be giving it our all to continue our form in Adelaide tomorrow. I enjoyed my own knock although I'm disappointed I didn't go on with it. Having most of last week off certainly freshened me up. Damn hot in the middle though - even got rid of my helmet to bat in a one day cap.

Ricky Ponting: Just back to the hotel after a really enjoyable dinner with Rianna. Trained well today and its great to be back around the team after the week off. It was really good to see the boys win the KFC T20 game last night and tomorrow we are hoping to continue our undefeated form of the summer. The West Indies are always tough to beat in the shorter forms of the game but we have the squad to get the job done.
